About Us

Nepal is blessed with abundant natural resources and is decorated with high biodiversity and vibrant natural wonders. The mosaic of culture, tradition, beliefs, and rituals has made it a unique country in the world. Despite being the assemblage of diverse phenomena, the country is languishing and mismanagement of resources has taken its toll. The new emerging state such as incoherent urbanisation and industrialization, high pace of deforestation, unequal resource sharing by the rapid rise of population has detrimental impact on the natural resource and biodiversity. The symptoms of the threats imposed are clearly visible. This repercussion has negated the ambience and functioning of the environment. As a result of which, our daily life is witnessing an alarming state, health condition has plummeted, food insecurity is rising and hitting hard on common lives. From the past experience, we come to know that either we have to change our direction or we will perish like other extinct species. We need to come together and choose a new way. We need to transform our society into one in which people live in harmony – harmony among different creatures, harmony with nature. Our existence, lifestyle solely depend on the functioning of the ecosystem and nature overall. So with the very view of the precarious stage through which the environment is going, Go Green Nepal is established with the motive to retain the earlier natural state of Nepal with lush green as its symbol and conserving the biodiversity.
